Please expect for shipping time delays due to the millions of packages that are traveling through the postal system. Also everyone should expect the USPS website to not update anything while your package is traveling to you through the mail. I drop most all packages off in the drop off bin at the post office so a lot of times they don't scan it until its about to be delivered to your address.
I hope everyone is having a nice winter. It's very cold down in Texas and actually snowed (which is very rare). I'm anticipating getting in a shipment of more batteries sometime next week and will put them up for sale when they come in. The 18650, 3000mAh batteries have PCB protection this time and will cost slightly more. I figured out the previous ones say they have protection but didn't have a PCB. I'm also getting an order of GGW-H20L 6x blu rays which will be here in about 1 week. I'll put them up for sale when they're in as well.

I've done some research and chose the best AAA and AA batteries available to sell on my website. The Sanyo Eneloop AA 2000mAh Ni-MH Ready to Use Rechargeable Batteries (4 Pack) and the Soshine AAA 900mAh Ni-MH Recharageable Batteries (4 Pack). I'm using the Eneloop batteries for my camera and am using the Soshine batteries in a DX 30mW green 532nm laser that I have. Both sets of batteries are outstanding compared to generic batteries from the grocery store.
News: Update 8-3-2009:

I decided to reduce my price on LPC815 sleds, check them out. They contain great Long Open Can 650nm diodes that can be pushed to around 300mW.

News: Update 5-16-2009:
I've shipped out all the orders I could last night and now will be out of town again to go to a graduation. I will be back in town on 5-22-2009 and will ship orders then. Also, I contacted Aixiz about a 2 week delayed order from them to me and just learned that they are out of stock of the Aixiz modules and expect to have more in next week. I have about 30 or so of the Aixiz modules left and will be filling orders based on first come first served basis and when I run out will be substituting the Sure Electronics modules instead of the Aixiz for your orders. If this poses a problem please let me know.
I will be out of town from 5/10/2009 till 5/14/2009 on a business trip. All orders not yet shipped will be shipped out the night of 5/14/2009, for orders placed before 5/11 I will be shipping via upgraded shipping (USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day)).
Hope your week has been going well. I just got in some more MXDL Flashlights and some new TrustFire 16340 880mAH 3.6V Li-ion Rechargable Battery w/ PCB in from China. The batteries seem very nice and work great with the Dorcy Jr 45 Lumens 1 Watt - LED Flashlight - Laser Host. I've also decided to get my finances in order and have hired a CPA to help me with figuring out paying taxes on my income. I am required by law to charge 8.25% on in-state Texas orders and have implemented a system to do so. I don't really like charging Texas customers extra though so if you send me a message I'll create a special discount coupon to negate this extra tax charge, so you don't have to pay the extra tax and instead I'll pay it for you :)

News: Update 4-21-2009:
I got in some GGWH20L sleds and am now selling them in a new Sleds category along with PHR803T sleds. I reduced my 405nm GGW-H20L 6x Blu Ray Diode in Aixiz Module Optics Housing price some as well due to getting in more of the diodes. Also I will be including 1 Glow In The Dark tail cap (dust cover) with each 405nm laser order. They fit on the front of the module over the focusing knob and can help keep dust from collecting on your lens. Also has a neat flashlight effect when the 405nm laser is turned on with the tail cap still on :). See pictures below.

Nearly Spring Break everyone! I hope you all have a great time a remain safe. If anyone is going to the beach or the mountains, don't forget your laser ;) Less light pollution in the sky makes an ideal environment for seeing the beam go as far as you can see.
A lot of people have been asking me about the GGWH20L 6X Blu Ray Laser Diodes, I don't have any and neither does anyone in China or the USA.. I think word got out that they can do 200mW+ of 405nm light and all the refurbished and returned Blu Ray burner sleds were bought up. It will take time (my guess is 2 weeks) before anyone has any back in stock.
Also, Daguin has been experimenting with an 8X Blu Ray and got some CRAZY results. These sleds won't be available for probably 3-6 months, but I can't wait :)

More 405nm PHR-803T Blu Ray Laser Diodes came in today so those are back in stock :) I also restocked my Aixiz Rkcstr Blu-Ray 405nm 120mA Laser Modules as I just got in more Rkcstr drivers from Rkcstr as well :) A limited supply of GGW-H20L 6x Blu Ray Laser Diodes just came in also and I'll start to sell those just as soon as I take pictures of them and test one to post up results. I will only sell these 6x diodes already pressed into an Aixiz module as I'll be briefly testing each diode.
Also over the months that I've been selling laser diodes, I've noticed very common questions that everyone seemed to ask, so I just created a Frequently Asked Questions section to help you out. I'm current sold out of PHR803T 405nm blu ray diodes but have many more being shipped to me as you're reading this. I expect the shipment to be to me in a couple days. More Sure Electronics modules are on their way from China as well.
I just reduced all my laser prices.
An order of more 10440 3.6V batteries came in today and they are for sale in the Flashlight section again now. I had ordered battery chargers at the same time but apparently those were not shipped with the batteries. An order of MXDL flashlights also recently was shipped so I should receive those within a week or so.

I have a week off this week from my real job and am feeling pretty good. My website hit counter just went over 100,000 visitors as well! Because of this I decided to put a 9% off on everything sale going on till I have to start work again (Monday 2-2-2009). Discount coupons will work to stack on this sale % and make my items even cheaper . I'm also changing my "motto" or whatever it is from "High Tech Devices for Less than Retail!" to "Simplifying the LASER Hobby!". I think this makes much more sense because most of my items aren't available for retail sale.
I finished making a MXDL blu ray laser and took lots of pictures. Here is a How To tutorial for building a MXDL Blu Ray Laser. I wish I had my order of MXDL flashlights, batteries, and chargers in but they are somewhere between here and China. Should be to me soon though.

Happy MLK Day everyone!! I'm finally all caught up on shipping orders and moved into my new location of Arlington, TX. This is an advantage to everyone I think as I'm more central in the USA now so shipping times should be less. I really appreciate the article written on I-Hacked.com featuring details on how to build a Dorcy Blu Ray Laser using the PHR803T laser diode. The Dorcy Jr Flashlight is one of my favorite flashlights to build lasers out of because of its small size and feel.
Also when I finally get some free time I plan on making a how-to using an Aixiz Rkcstr Blu Ray Laser Module and the MXDL 3AAA flashlight to make a quality laser with a bit cheaper parts. I'll put a link to the how-to on both item pages on my website.

News: Update 12-01-2008: I hope everyone had a nice break. I have been working hard on school work and may have to continue to work on school projects until Tuesday at about noon. I'm going to try to get all these Thanksgiving orders shipped out on Monday, but may not have enough time until Tuesday. Quality of my products is very important to me and it takes me a lot of time to fill orders; I prefer this over rushing the process of preparing, harvesting, and packaging all the items. I'll post up some results of my project when I finish (today or tomorrow), I think people will like what my group has done. More details to come soon...

Apparently PayPal has been giving some of my customers problems, but not for others. I'm pretty sure the problem lies on PayPal's end... Because of this problem, I added another payment module in the 1st checkout option (regular PayPal, not express). If you experience problems with the 3rd checkout option (PayPal express checkout), try the 1st one and it should work.

I also just built a prototype laser of my own creation. I've been making so many of these 9V battery lasers and with a simple switch circuit you can have a functioning laser. I built it in a project box from Radioshack.

Update 10-4-2008: SSL encryption is now active at https://hightechdealz.com. This will protect your user name and password on the log in screen so others on the same wireless internet can't see what you're typing. This is really only an issue on public wifi but I think have the protection is good for my customers.

I have noticed this website to be slow at times. I think this is due to the increased traffic on the website. I just purchased new hosting and will also have an SSL certificate set up to protect your information. This will be a secure https website for your protection from others. I am working with my domain host to get the new web host going and will be working on this for a while. The website may go down as I'm transferring the website to the new host.
It seems the Blu Ray modules with a Rkcstr driver are very popular and sold out as soon as I got more drivers in stock... which means I am out of stock of Rkcstr drivers again. I'll begin to sell those again once Rkcstr starts to sell more drivers. Also, from now until December, I will only be shipping items 3 times per week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be the days that I send out orders. I am taking full time classes and can only go on these days to the Post Office. Thank you all for your support and business.
